My Father Knows More About Gabby, Susan, Bree, Linette and Edie More Than I Do!
Okay, this isn't the first time i wrote about DPHW (check archives) but i was just kinda taken aback at how much my father knew about the show! (much more than i did actually!)
My mother had left me, my dad and my sister home for the weekend since she left with our youngest to the province (Kapatagan..as cold as Baguio) to chillax with my aunt who just arrived from cebu. so, what else have we got to do? My dad (UNfortunately (as i've already mentioned in previous blogs)) discovered my dvd stash which i so desperately tried to hide from him like a good bag of weed...but like a good bag of weed my dad could smell it from a mile away. I dont know how he does it but i think my father has a secret-dar, able to sniff out anything you are trying to hide from him. whether it be your box of pornography or feel-good emergency food, you can bet your ass he's going to find it. so anyway, i woke up sunday (noon-ish) and tried to search the empty house "where the people at?" they were in my parent's bedroom. so engrossed in something. turns out, they were watching desperate housewives. i have seen and got addicted to the show a year ago pa, but since i had nothing to do i decided to join them. it was kinda wierd. for the first time in my life i felt like my dad was my sister. he was like, "Oh my god! He killed John??" and then later on, "But i thought Zachary was Paul Young's son..? How did Dierdre end up in the toy chest..?? How can Mike Delfino be so blind!! Clearly Mrs. Hoover was murdered!!!" My sister and i were like, staring into each other, eyebrow's raised. The first thought that ran through my mind was, 'omg that is soooo gay', but then later on we were so engrossed into the movie that we were actually talking about the show at dinner and exchanging facts and our suspicions.
we watched desperate housewives all day sunday (yes Jim. we just have too much time on our hands. lol! so NOW you know who i got it from..lmfao! we are a family of house bums!), none of us getting up, save for when we grab something to munch on or go pee or something. they got addicted..and i got addicted AGAIN. before i left for class this morning..YES..they were still in bed (on season 2 now) trying to comprehend who Zachary's (or Dana's) real family is. of course, i whispered the answer to my sister...who angrily threw a pillow at me just as i left the room. Hahah! Sorry sis! You missed! Better luck next time...wait 'till I tell her who the new neighbors on Wisteria Lane really are...Bwahahaha!
Even if it is over something as mediocre as DPHW, it's nice to share something in common with your father and sister. but when your dad starts talking to you about what brand of lipstick you wear or where to get the best stockings and PLUS-size women's wear, THEN i would start to worry...
Haha...one of my roommates is Filipino and he watches it too. I definitely think he might be a closet case, he's not the most masculine guy that's for sure. You have to hide DVDs from your family? Must be one weird ass house :)
Do you actually have a box of pornography? lol
